United Way of Central Indiana
August 28th – September 22nd, 2023
Dear City/County Employee:
A commitment to the welfare of others is what drives us as public servants. While we have made great strides in improving our community, impacting the lives of underserved Central Indiana residents remains a constant, necessary effort. This year, we are once again partnering with United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) for the 2023 Indianapolis Marion County Charitable Campaign (IMCC), and I am asking you to participate as we aim to extend our past generosity.
Last year we raised $39,147.12, and this year I hope to go even higher and surpass our goal of raising $41,000 to ensure UWCI has the necessary resources to provide vital programming and support to Indianapolis residents. Your donation benefits UWCI’s new strategic impact programs such as the Basic Needs Fund, providing our most vulnerable Indy residents with food, housing, and transportation, and the Family Opportunity Fund, working to loosen the grip of generational poverty in Central Indiana.
By partnering with UWCI for the IMCC, we are providing support that will help us tackle long-standing challenges in Central Indiana such as food insecurity, educational limitations, and housing affordability. Your participation in this campaign will make a difference in our community and reach our most vulnerable neighbors.
Our community is strong because there are individuals like you willing to lend a helping hand—as a City-County employee, you have been and will continue to be an indispensable member of this community. On behalf of our city, thank you for your consideration and your service to the people of Marion County and Indianapolis.
Sincerely,
Joe Hogsett
Mayor
City of Indianapolis
